It's counterintuitive ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Ever wonder about the origin of the word breakthrough? Probably not cuz you’re probably not as weird as me about words. Let’s break it down. The word is two parts. BREAK. Through. There’s a reason I caps locked BREAK. Cuz you gotta take a break if you wanna have breakthroughs. This could be a full week break from work. (I've worked more than normal over the past couple weeks and I'm a bit worn out. So I'm gonna take the next few days to just chill and recover.) Or it could be as simple as taking a walk in the middle of a work day. Or taking a one day break from technology. Your brain needs breaks in order to have breakthroughs. Ever wonder why your best ideas tend to come at the weirdest times? Like when you’re taking a shower. Or taking a walk with your dog. Or drinking with some friends. Or doing a poo. It’s because your brain can’t be ON all the time. And it’s because your subconscious mind is 30,000 times more powerful than your conscious mind. Sometimes you need to let your conscious mind take a chill pill so your subconscious mind can work its magic. That’s why I take little breaks when I work. That’s why I’m gonna chill for the next couple days. Life isn’t a marathon. Or a sprint. It’s a long ass race that requires you to sprint, walk, and sometimes do nothing at all. So take some breaks to have some breakthroughs. Talk soon, Ian "BREAKthroughs" Stanley P.S. Wanna have breakthroughs in your income?
