I'm already getting search traffic to my local biz website. It's only a few months old. This is the last 30 days screenshot. â Traffic to this site won't ever be tens of thousands per month, well maybe it will, but I'm not gunning for that. It's a local biz targeting visitors who are much higher value since it's a high-value service I'm offering. One or two sales per month will make it very profitable. Local sites are a different beast when it comes to traffic levels. At its peak, my law firm website back in the day had 3,000 monthly visitors. We had new clients pouring in the doors with that traffic level. I launched the site with this very simple SEO process that's already working: Step 1: Keyword research. More or less done. Step 2: Publish content targeting those keywords. Still more to publish. Step 3: Set up Google My Business page. Step 4: Added business listing to main directories (Yelp and Yellow Pages) including some local neighborhood directories. Step 5: Edit for conversions (this still needs work). Step 6: Press release sent out (done) Step 7: HARO links (first round done) Today I want to discuss step 7 - HARO links because those suckers are juicing the SEO AND bolstering credibility. I ended up getting links from the biggest, most prestigious websites in my industry. It's a who's who of Web publishers. I'm still in awe. The SEO benefit is obvious. The credibility benefit less obvious, but equally, if not more effective. Because we were quoted on these who's who of sites in my industry, and I'm talking brands everyone knows about, the "Featured In" logos I can add to my local site is impressive. Our competitors can't make the same claims. It's very powerful to be able to display 5 or 6 of the biggest brand logos in my industry on the site. And while it's super effective for local biz sites, it's just as effective for niche sites. I've done the HARO thing for smaller niche sites. I don't bother with my biggest site because I have links from the biggest sites in the space already thanks to being around for years and publishing thousands of articles. How did I go about scoring HARO links? I tried it myself and tired of that really fast. I'm not set up to do it consistently or properly. I'm sure I could have figured it out, but it's not my thing. So I hired [this service](). The HARO Service This HARO service has the contacts and systems in place to get any website or blogger or small biz featured on the biggest publications within weeks. Many are niche-relevant. Check out this list of referring domains to my itty bitty local biz website: â â My local biz is in the home industry. As you can about half are very relevant. The other sites are general sites and are good to get for any niche. If you asked me to set out a list of my ideal sites to get links from, that's the list more or less. The entire process cost me only 5 minutes of my time yet I'll benefit from it for years. While E-E-A-T, as I understand it, is more than just links, links from esteemed sites like that are a part of it. If it's EEAT you need, give this service a shot. Other steps I've taken for E-E-A-T E-E-A-T is easier with a local biz site because I can set it up with a Google My Business page. I also got listed in a few of the big local directories including some neighborhood local directories. Lastly, I created the requisite social media profiles and post to them occassionally. The usual stuff. With niche sites, it can be a bit more difficult. I don't believe niche sites should have a Google My Business page. I understand the argument for it but IMO, it doesn't specifically serve a local area so it doesn't make sense. BUT, what I did do is set up a Google My Business page for my company. That makes more sense since it's an umbrella publishing company based in my area. I then linked it to my niche site and niche site LinkedIn page. Speaking of LinkedIn, I created LinkedIn pages for my niche site and main company. Schema: I input organization schema on my About page. Writers: I have writer profiles now link to their social profiles. LinkedIn preferably, but Twitter and/or Instagram does the job. Social: I have social media profiles and get traffic from a couple of them. Email: I'm sending more emails to my niche audience than ever before. It's not a spectacular success, but it's another traffic source. I get that these E-E-A-T steps can easily be manufactured. In fact, if I had time, I'd love to attempt establishing strong EEAT with fictitious everything. It would be a fun challenge but I don't have the time. Again, while no single step above, including HARO links will result in strong E-E-A-T, when it's all put together it helps. It's also assuming content is reasonably good. I'm sure there's more I could be doing but at this point I've done the lion's share of what can be done with my biggest niche site and local site. Now it's just letting things take its course. If it's some top notch HARO links you need and you don't want to take the time to learn how and do it yourself, try the service I use any time I need some legit, high quality links and mentions on the biggest publications.
