You must get Professional package or higher for the 30% discount. It only takes one I've figured out my one. Didn't take long. What am I talking about? I'm talking about my one type of article for my site for which Koala does a great job. I'll find more but I'm so busy producing this type of content, I just can't stop. For me it's the evergreen content listicle. I love these articles because people like them. When people like them, they share them and scroll down them viewing all of my ads. They're not terribly fun to write. I should clarify. I love writing the list items. I have fun with that. I try to make them engaging. They're a series of titles after all. Many visitors just scan the list titles. It's the explanation or description for each item that's painful to write. It needs to be done though. I've tried listicles without the extended text and they don't rank as well. Here's the workflow Step 1: Come up with listicle topic. The more specific, the better. Step 2: Instruct Koala to list X number for whatever the topic is. I further instruct Koala to expand or explain each item in the list. I also tell Koala to restrict the article to the list. More and more I'm creating custom outlines in Koala with the outline generator. This ensures I get the list I want. However, I do like to see the list Koala produces as well so sometimes I run Koala twice for the same article. While that might come across as extravagant when compared to what I've paid writers over the years, it's pennies. Step 3: Copy and past into the WordPress text editor. Soon I'll be able to export directly to a draft WordPress post. Can't wait. Step 4: I jazz up the introduction. Step 5: I rewrite each list item heading making it as fun and engaging as possible. Step 6: I rip through the article looking for places where I can insert examples, anecdotes and commentary. I usually find at leat ten opportunities. I edit for clumsy writing and errors during this step as well. Step 7: Get photos to add throughout. If it's a visual topic, it requires many photos. This is painfully time-consuming but can't be avoided. I signed up for the topic. Step 8: Publish. As you can see Koala isn't a one-click publishing system but it does relieve me and writers from a great deal of tedious work. The listicle is one example. It's my fave with Koala right now. Listicles work in any niche. ANY NICHE. Generally speaking, Koala does best with evergreen content. While it can tap the internet, it's not terribly reliable for current events and data. I'm sure it'll improve over time.
