I used to only do affiliate marketing. One day I had an idea for a new niche site. It was a niche I was really interested in. I'm still surprised it eluded me during my first couple of years online. My initial intention was that it would earn from affiliate promotions. I worked my tail off for 6 months or so. Put in all kinds of affiliate links. Started getting good traffic. Here and there it would get some nice traffic spikes from Facebook. Google search traffic was also growing. At this point, it was getting 500 visitors per day. But it earned nothing. Nada. Zilch. It sucked. I was frustrated. I was about to bail on that site. Then I remembered I had an AdSense account. I figured I had nothing to lose. I slapped up a few AdSense ads on the site. The next day I checked AdSense and had earned $176 CAD. I nearly fell off my chair. Granted, I had a nice little Facebook traffic spike overnight but the fact it earned that much blew me away. That was how I got into monetizing with display ads. I haven't looked back. Now I earn more than $50,000 per month from display ads. It's far more than my affiliate commission revenue. I love monetizing with ads. I can write about any topic I like and monetize it. I'm not restricted to boring reviews and "best of" articles. I can write about whether knee-high socks are cool and still make money. I can write about my 3 favorite beaches in Vancouver, BC (where I live) and still make money. You get the point. Needless to say, after seeing that $176 in my AdSense account, I loaded up my site with AdSense ads. Actually, back then we could only put 3 AdSense ads and 2 link units per page. Nevertheless, the site started earning great money every day. AdSense was an eye-opener for me but it was just the beginning. With AdSense, you only make money when a visitor clicks an ad. A better way is to use ads that pay per 1,000 impressions. An even better way is to use an ad network that split tests both types of ads. Enter Ezoic A year and a half after starting with AdSense, I discovered [Ezoic](). Ezoic split tests AdSense with other ad networks and shows only the highest paying ads. Moreover, not only can you split test ads from different networks but you can split test placements. You can test whether ads above or below the title will earn more. After paragraph one or paragraph two. Above or below the third image in your article. And so on. And not only that, but Ezoic will customize the ad placements for each and every URL. One article may earn more with an ad above the tile while another article will earn more with an ad below the title. Ezoic, with its machine learning, will essentially ensure you earn as much as possible from ads. Using Ezoic helped skyrocket my website revenue. I'm talking about doubling it after the testing phase was done. Testing takes about 3 months. Talk about another huge win. If you like the idea of monetizing with display ads, [use Ezoic](). Do I still use Ezoic? No. Now that my sites get millions of visitors, I've migrated to AdThrive which is a fully managed ad network. While I prefer AdThrive, most smaller sites don't qualify. You're next best bet (and I've tried a good number of ad networks) is Ezoic. => [Get Ezoic ads on your site here]().
