___________________= _____ Hey everyone hope yo= ur week's been well. Central K= entucky got hit by another land hurricane Sunday and the power went out for= about 24 hours. Monday morning I did a long bike ride around the cou= nty. Last time this happened, power lines were taken out by broken br= anches. This time around, entire trees had been ripped out of the gro= und instead. Pretty wild weather we're having this year. The ne= w normal I guess. For some rea= son Kentucky made pretty much all fireworks legal a few years ago, which di= dn't really change anything because they were always legal in Tennessee and= Indiana and I think 90% of the state is at most two hours from either.&nbs= p; At any rate, I've been watching the Air Quality Index this summer becaus= e of the smoke from the Canada forest fires. Turns out it will also s= pike when your entire neighborhood decides to celebrate the First, Second, = Third, and Fourth of July. I'm sure someone will try to celebrate the= Fifth of July tonight, can't wait. No [livestream](3D".=) this week - the news cycle = is in a full reset due to the Tuesday holiday. We'll be back next wee= k! In the meantime, why not wa= tch some of the [clips](3D".=)? __= ______________________ End Drew transmis= sion

Another fun time on the Quiz last week, where we learne= d restaurant apps don't always check to see if there's a restaurant before = taking your money. On the Quiz itself, KRSESQ came out on = top with 968, followed by WoolyManwich in second with= 942 and wearsmanyhats in third with 922. = dracos31 made fourth with 920, and balko= ong> made it into the top five with 919. The hardest question on la= st week's Hard Quiz was about which animals' seeming immunity to most = cancers might be related to the gene that keeps their testicles inside. Onl= y 35% of quiztakers knew that elephants do not have descended testicles, wh= ich might explain why they never quite understood the humor of America's Fu= nniest Home Videos. The easiest question on last week's Hard = Quiz was about the last remaining US state where drivers aren't allowed to = pump their own gas. 96% of quiztakers knew that New Jersey drivers were spa= red the indignity of having to leave their cars and smell that New Jersey a= ir while refueling. The hardest question on last week's Easy = Quiz was about which US city's police department thought it would be a= great idea to hold their annual "brunch with a cop" back to school fundrai= ser at a high-end gentlemen's club. Only 42% of quiztakers knew that t= his was the most Florida thing possible, and that Miami is the only major U= S city to have been founded by a woman. The easiest question = on last week's Easy Quiz was about which country was officially ditching th= e traditional method of counting a person's age and moving to the internati= onally recognized system of the anniversary of one's birth date. 95% of qui= ztakers knew that it was South Korea that was making the change. No word on= how this will affect the drinking age, since most people will see a one to= two year drop in their recognized age. If you missed out las= t week, it's a great time to [catch up on the Fark Weird News Quiz](3D=) now that you know a few of= the answers. Congratulations once again to the winners, and we'll do it al= l again on Friday. --------------------------------------------------------------- ([Fark.com](3D"") sent this newsletter emai= l to: {EMAIL}) To stop these emails, go to the Notifications tab of your [MyFark profile](3D"https:=) to change your subscription preferences.
