Wow. It's been months since I last sent a newsletter out. Long time, no see! I guess that's what happens when you fly to Mexico to have a baby... 😆 What have I been up to? You may have noticed I haven't been publishing too much content on [the blog]( lately. Partly due to the pandemic, as well as taking a break for "paternity leave" because Anna gave birth to a new baby boy in February. Yay! My business took a big hit during the pandemic, like many others in the travel industry, but now that Spring (and shots) are here, I'm cautiously optimistic about the future. Destinations are starting to open up again -- like [Iceland]( [Greece]( and possibly [Italy]( too. Become A Freelance Photographer [Freelance Photographer]How To Become A Professional Photographer I've had a lot of questions about how to make money with your photography over the years, so I finally created a big blog post to share as much as I could! Along with tips for turning a photography hobby into a career, I asked some of my favorite professional travel and adventure photographers to share their own nuggets of wisdom. I think it came out pretty well! ➜ [How To Become A Freelance Photographer]( [dashed-line.jpg] Best Things To Do In Athens, Greece [Athens Greece]The Best of Athens Greece recently announced that it's opening up for tourists again this month, including for Americans. All that's required is a negative test, or proof of a COVID vaccination. Hooray! I decided to put together a travel guide full of my favorite things to do in the capital city of Athens. It's a beautiful city with amazing architecture and food. If you're thinking about visiting Greece this year, or anytime in the future, go check it out! ➜ [25 Best Things To Do In Athens Greece]( [dashed-line.jpg] Meet Baby Holden! [Holden]Our Newest Family Member Yes, another baby! I'd like to introduce you to Holden Karsten, the newest member of our family. We decided to have him in Mexico, which makes him a dual US and Mexican citizen. Everything went pretty smoothly, and both Anna and the baby are doing well. I hope to talk more about WHY in the future, but basically it opens up new opportunities for him (as well as us). We have a strange little hobby I like to call "Citizenship Hacking" -- collecting citizenships from multiple countries. When all the paperwork is complete, Holden will have 4 different citizenships! [dashed-line.jpg] Free Virtual Assistant Guide [va.jpg] Finally, because I know many of you are subscribed because you're interested in remote work and nomadic living, I want to [share a free guide]( my friend Gina has put together full of tips about working as a virtual assistant. I use virtual assistants to help run my blogging business, and it's a remote job that allows you to work from anywhere in the world! So if you're interested in a possible career change in 2021, one that allows you to work remotely, I highly recommend you check it out. ➜ [275 Services You Can Offer As A Virtual Assistant]( [dashed-line.jpg] Cool Stuff From The Web Fascinating articles/videos I enjoyed on the internet this month: - [The Swedish Law Of Wanderlust]( - Sweden allows anyone to ski, cycle, or camp almost anywhere in the country. - [Rick Steves On Traveling After COVID]( - Travel writer and TV host Rick Steves shares his thoughts on the return of international travel. - [Observations On Going Viral]( - Anna & I recently had a video of ours go viral, and I wanted to share the results of what happened. What I'm Reading [A Philosophy On Walking]( by Frederic Gros This Is Awesome [Hatchlet Baby Travel Carrier]( - No, I'm not starting a parenting blog. But if you have kids, and travel a lot, this thing is great! Thanks For Following Along! [Avatar] If you haven't yet, make sure to come say hello on [Instagram]( [Youtube]( and [Facebook](.
