[EWG Action Fund]( URGENT: House vote on Big Ag’s dream bill scheduled for Friday! [Click here to tell Congress to protect our health, not Big Ag’s profits!]( It’s back, Friend! The disastrous House farm bill we killed last month is back on the House floor. House Speaker Paul Ryan resurrected this train wreck of a bill and he’s rushing it to a vote this Friday. We’ve stopped this bill before, but we need to do it again. If passed, this bill would allow agribusinesses to dump toxic pesticides straight into waterways and would expand loopholes that allow millionaire landowners to line their pockets with taxpayer dollars. At the same time, it would make massive cuts to the food assistance programs hungry families rely on. We need another tidal wave of grassroots action to stop this bill in its tracks. [Click here to urge your representative to oppose this farm bill. Tell Congress to stand up for healthy families, not Big Ag’s bottom line.]( This bill puts your health and our environment at risk. Just take a look at some of the provisions: - Rolls back clean water rule regulations, allowing agribusinesses to spray toxic pesticides straight into drinking water sources. - Eliminates existing local regulations on pesticides, and prevents cities and counties from taking further action to protect their communities from pesticide pollution. - Threatens endangered species, including pollinators, by allowing pesticides to be approved without considering the impact on endangered species. This is Big Ag’s dream bill: It slashes health protections, while shoveling taxpayer cash into the pockets of some of the wealthiest Americans. At the same time, this bill would strip away or reduce food assistance benefits for more than 2 million hungry Americans, including children. They’re literally taking food away from the poor to pay for government handouts to the rich. It’s despicable and we have to stop it. [Stand with EWG Action Fund and stand up for healthy families. Urge your representative to vote NO on Big Ag’s dream bill (H.R.2)!]( Thanks for standing with us, Friend.
