Hi {NAME}, Rep. Don Bacon is pro-gun, anti-abortion, and anti-$15 federal minimum wage. It's not just that Bacon is ill-equipped to lead America through the complex challenges of the 21st century (though he is). Don Bacon is an abject threat to his constituents' well-being. But in 2016, Bacon won his seat by just 3,464 votes, and was reelected in 2018 by just 4,945. Then in 2020, he very nearly lost a third time. Bacon is losing major ground in his district— he is one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the entire country. And his seat is a huge opportunity for progressives to expand our razor-thin House Majority. Alisha Shelton is the woman for the job. Alisha was on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic helping her neighbors cope with immeasurable pain and loss. Now Alisha is laser-focused on fixing America's broken healthcare system and all systemic injustices our communities of color face every day. We must do everything we can to make sure Alisha Shelton is elected to vulnerable failed Rep. Don Bacon's seat. Alisha Shelton will deliver Americans the expanded Democrat House Majority we deserve, and she will fight hard for topline issues like gun control, abortion rights, and a $15 minimum wage. But progressive Black women have to fight twice as hard to win elections— especially in a state like Nebraska. Don Bacon has already raised over $1,000,000 because he's deeply enmeshed with the state's real estate and insurance industries. We simply don't have that kind of access. {NAME}, Alisha Shelton represents Democrats' best and only shot at flipping this seat in 2022. Elect Black Women will do everything we can to see to it that Alisha can fight fair, but our work is entirely funded by grassroots donations and right now we're still short $3,185 on next week's October 31 fundraising deadline. Will you chip in $1, $5, $10, 15, or $25 right now to help us close the gap? [This can't wait, {NAME}: Take a moment to donate what you can right now and help Alisha Shelton win her historic campaign for NE-02. Will you chip in $5 or more to help Alisha fight fair?]( If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [DONATE $10]( [DONATE $15]( [DONATE $25]( [DONATE $50]( [DONATE $100]( [DONATE OTHER]( Alisha Shelton's counting on us, {NAME}.
