Elect Black Women is fighting to elect and protect Black women across all levels of government. We hope you'll appreciate us keeping you up to date on this important work, but if you do not want future updates, click here to [unsubscribe](. {NAME} -- There are currently over 250 voter suppression bills in state legislatures across the country. If the GOP succeeds at passing any of their voter suppression bills, Black communities will face even greater barriers to vote and, as such, Black voters will be silenced at the ballot box. This onslaught of anti-democratic bills is dangerous to our country and why Stacey Abrams slammed the GOP's voter suppression attempts as “a redux of Jim Crow in a suit and tie.” But we have good news: We have the chance to stop the GOP's attacks on voters of color. Democrats in the House passed the For the People Act, a sweeping voter reform bill to protect voters from being purged from the rolls or kept from the ballot box. We're not in the clear yet, {NAME}. The GOP can use the filibuster to block this critical bill in the Senate; and if we don't gather enough support, it will be increasingly hard to stop the GOP's growing national voter suppression campaign from further suppressing Black voters. That's why we have to act now. We must join together with leaders like Stacey Abrams and show the GOP that their anti-democratic attacks will not go unmet. Stacey Abrams is suffering vicious attacks from the right wing, and we need as many people to stand with her as possible. Please, let us know: Do you agree that voter suppression is a threat to equality? [YES]( [NO]( It's dedicated people like you who hold up our democracy and keep it from falling apart even as it's under siege. Thank you.
