I'm a Democrat running for Congress in New Jersey's 7th District and I would be honored to continue to build on the work that Congressman Malinowski and grassroots supporters have done across the district. As a former professional basketball player, I'm not just running this campaign — I'm playing to win. I can tell you that our race will be one of the most competitive in the entire country. Winning in swing districts like ours is the key to taking back the House for Democrats next year, which means we need to put in the work right now to make sure we're ready to compete with Republicans and their mega-donors. NJ-07 is the ultimate swing district and a prime pickup opportunity for Democrats. In 2020, Joe Biden won our district by nearly 4 points, and in 2022, my Republican opponent won here by less than 3 points or just 9,000 votes. Since getting to Congress, he has empowered Kevin McCarthy and the rest of the extremist Republicans as they ignore the gun violence crisis and attack Social Security, Medicare, abortion access, and more. In fact, he has a "nearly identical voting record to Marjorie Taylor Greene" according to local reporting. These are not our Jersey values. I'm in this race to deliver for the communities that raised me. New Jersey deserves competent, honest, and tough leadership — not a career politician who enables the extremists in the Republican Party, from Marjorie Taylor Greene to Donald Trump. This race is just gearing up, and I need your early input to make sure my campaign is focused on the most important issues. Hearing from supporters like you makes me a better candidate and strengthens our campaign as we prepare for a tough fight ahead. [{NAME}, we'll win this race if we have everyone's voice guiding our campaign, so will you tell me what's on your mind by completing our official Team Altman Priorities Survey today?]( [TAKE THE SURVEY]( Like I said, this will be a tough fight, But if there's one thing I learned from my years playing and coaching basketball, it's that nothing is more important than my team. Thanks for being on our team from the very beginning. More soon, Sue --------------------------------------------------------------- Sue Altman is running for Congress to deliver competent leadership that shares our Jersey values.
