You can help Gunnison sage-grouse survive extinction by sending a message to the BLM today ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Defenders of Wildlife] [ACT NOW]( [Sage Grouse - William Mullins/Alamy Stock Photo]( Help Protect Gunnison Sage-Grouse Today by Sending a Message to the BLM! Dear Defender, We need your help to protect endangered, eye-catching birds from the threat of extinction! The West is home to the Gunnison sage-grouse, a large bird that’s famous for its vibrant appearance and mating display. But these birds are quickly slipping away – fewer than 4,000 still remain. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a plan to save this species. Right now they’re asking for feedback on their draft Gunnison sage-grouse conservation plan. You can lend your support to this vital effort by asking BLM to put these birds on the path to recovery. [Speak up for sage-grouse: Send a message today!]( The Gunnison sage-grouse is one of the most imperiled birds in the United States. They’re now reduced to just 10% of their historic range in Colorado and Utah, and their range continues to shrink. But it’s not too late to help them escape extinction. The BLM oversees almost half of this bird’s total habitat, and with a good conservation strategy they can help save these birds from disappearing. We’re calling for a plan that protects all remaining and potential habitat and restores damaged habitat vital to the grouse’s recovery. You can help by lending your voice to the call. Take a moment to sign a message to BLM in support of saving Gunnison sage-grouse today! [SPEAK UP FOR GUNNISON SAGE-GROUSE>>]( Thank you for joining us in in our fight against extinction.
