We've summarized some key updates below—and encourage you to review the full, updated versions of our [Terms of Use]( and [Privacy Policy.]( What remains the same is our commitment to you: your data is yours and we don't do anything with it but use it to provide you a service. --------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a quick look of some of the changes: [Privacy Policy]( - We clarified how we collect information, what we do with that information, and most importantly, all the things we don't with that information, like sell or rent it to third parties. - We added a California Privacy Statement. - We added provisions about our adoption of the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks to specify how we're protecting the data of customers using Customer.io in the EU. - We added clear instructions on how you can file a dispute with us. [Terms of Service]( - We added a section on Copyright, including how you can notify us of alleged infringement. - We moved from New York to Oregon, so we updated our terms to be in accordance with Oregon law. --------------------------------------------------------------- By using Customer.io on or after July 16, 2017 or after that date, you agree to these changes.
