12hrs left - closing tonight ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Alright, since it's the last day of my promo for [Jon Buchan's email templates package](, let's handle some common objections about cold email and cold outreach. This is copy written by Jon himself and objection 2 is masterfully explained in my opinion... Objection 1: "It won't work on serious, important folks." or "I bet it works in marketing. But it won't work on [insert prejudiced job title here]" Nobody becomes the CEO of say, RedBull, and then decides, "You know what, I don't like to laugh anymore. That's what I did when I wasn't successful." I have earned responses and met C-suites at large corporations using this approach. This includes senior decision makers at Hewlett Packard, Symantec, O2, The Walt Disney Company and many more. What I found in meeting people like this is that most people don't want to be put on a pedestal. They are just normal folks. They've just achieved a level of success. And the ones that do want to be put on a pedestal? I'd avoid them. It doesn't sound like the kind of relationship that would be beneficial to one's self-confidence or mental health. You should, of course, be respectful. But being respectful needn't mean sacrificing being unique or interesting. Objection 2: "I don't feel good [sending cold pitches.](" I understand this. I don't judge people that think this because they have a point. Even though it's just an email or a letter or a direct message, cold contacting people means you are interrupting someone's day. My response: While you need to be respectful and polite, you shouldn't avoid any form of outbound sales or outreach activity out of politeness. You can change your life by getting the right people to respond to your messages and agree to your requests. The right words in the right order to the right people can get you almost anywhere in life. But often the right people aren't just going to saunter into your life. This does happen, of course. But why wait for it? You can make things happen now. You can pick the people you want to work with. Not all will agree, but you'll be surprised how easy it is to speak to companies or people you have perhaps, in the past, thought were out of your reach. Objection 3: "I'm worried about negative responses." Just ignore them. Then go and read all the positive responses in your inbox. What can I say? Not everyone has good taste. :D Objection 4: "I can't be funny all the time. What do I do when I have a call or a meeting with a prospect?" Don't try to be funny all the time. I never tried to do that. Follow up by showing you know what you're talking about with enthusiasm. Humour gets you through the door. Enthusiasm and knowledge get you the deal. I'm condensing a vast topic into a pithy soundbite there, but it's broadly correct. Try it. :) If my words have given you the required encouragement, and you want to try out my weird ways, you should check out my [Charming Cold Email Mega Bundle.]( - Jon +++++ Note from Derek: When you buy Jon's "B2B Magic Charming Copy Template Pack" through me you also get 5 additional cold pitch templates & other bonuses explained on the sales page.
