I've been getting variations of an interesting question which goes something like this: "[Jon's cold email templates]( look awesome - especially the 'drunk cold email' - but who do I actually send these emails to? How do I build the list and what's the first step?" Here's the truth about building lists. This applies if you're trying to get clients or start your own list, doesn't matter. I'm going to try to keep this super high-level because we could get into too many weedy details. 1. You either pay to build the list. 2. Or you pay with time and build a list for free. Here's what I mean. If you're building an email list for your business you can pay to build it. 1. You can pay to run ads. 2. You can also build a list for free by paying with time (or paying a freelancer) to do content marketing, SEO or social media. If you're a freelancer or consultant and you want clients... 1. You can pay a company and buy leads they've built. 2. Or you can build up a list of targets on your own using a combination of your brain, LinkedIn, social media, etc. It's really that simple. Here are a few companies you can buy business leads from: - - - - - Prices will vary widely but you'll often pay 20 - 50 cents per lead. CyberLeads, for example, charges $197 for 1000 leads. These will be very cold leads... meaning they a) don't know who you are at all and b) you'll be competing with lots of other companies for attention. Which is why you must approach cold outreach with a healthy mindset: this is a numbers game. And you've got to stand out but Jon's templates make this super easy. Cold outreach is just one arm of your lead generation strategy. And if you do it right, if can be easier, a whole lot cheaper and a whole lot less time intensive than other forms of lead generation. Which is exactly why I'm promoting [Jon Buchan and his templates]( this week. He's absolutely one of the best in the world at getting potential clients to respond to his cold outreach... all while being himself & being honest about his strengths and weaknesses as a marketing service provider. Take a look at some of his results: - Jon put together what he calls a "drunk cold email" and got senior decision makers at RedBull, Pepsi, Symantec, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, HSBC and Barclays to respond and book appointments. - He used this same style to get senior editors at large publications like Venture Beat, Yahoo Business, Entrepreneur.com, Inc.com, Channel4 News, The Independent and Time Magazine, and to respond and publish his clients' content. - Jon has also been using these attention-grabbing templates to invite himself onto podcasts such as Kevin Rogers' "The Truth About Marketing" podcast. If you've been wanting to get clients without spending money on advertising... Or if you've smartly been looking for some templates to use for cold emails or for DM's on LinkedIn, FB and "X"... Then this is... again... what you've been looking for! This pack includes effective templates for: - Booking sales calls & meetings with even the busiest, most senior contacts. - Getting your foot in the door in new niches where you have no experience or case studies to support you. - Getting the attention of influencers to promote you or your clients' products, or just to make yourself known. - Following up with a prospect that hasn’t replied to your proposal, without seeming ‘pushy’ or desperate. - Sending direct messages on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram that stand out and get responded to. - Booking as many job interviews as you need. - Breaking the ice with potential partners with the aim of developing mutually beneficial relationships, e.g. You may run a digital marketing agency and wish to partner with a design agency so you can refer clients to each other. - Dealing with the response "What will it cost?" when you need far more information to be able to put a quote together. - The LinkedIn Invite / Follow Up Message Combo - A template to use for sending entertaining LinkedIn connection requests that a follow up disarming direct message. Then there are templates to use when you actually have the client. And there are 7 bonuses that Jon is including too. A LinkedIn list building guide, a cold email training video, a swipe file, a content marketing guide (for your client work), a "how to be somewhat funny" guide, a how to promote yourself guide, and an Agency lead generation cheatsheet. Plus when you buy Jon's "B2B Magic Charming Copy Template Pack" through me you also get 5 cold pitch templates. My favorite is this one: - A ridiculously honest cold pitch for when you have loads of knowledge - but no experience. This solves the old ‘experience’ dilemma, while making playful fun of it for your own persuasive benefit. You can read about the others on the sales page he made for my people here: This is CHEAP for what you get. Compare the price of the templates to the time it will save you writing & testing your own. Not to mention what a client will be worth to you. These are proven (it's why I'm promoting them). Speaking of the promo, Jon has strict orders to shut down the sales page at 11:59pm tomorrow night. That should give you plenty of time to make the decision plus also motivate you with the expiring bonuses. Grab these templates & start attracting clients more easily here: Jon is based in the UK so the checkout page looks a little different. You can pay in American dollars or Euros or Pounds or even Australian Vegemites and maybe others.
