I sent an email not long ago reminding all us freelancers and business owners that you need more offers. I said, "When you start getting into business you'll quickly realize that it will NEVER stop. It will never be over until the day you sell. You'll be updating your marketing and advertising constantly." Then I was perusing the Nostalgia subreddit and came across this image: I'm sure a lot of you out there remember these bottle caps. The title of the post was: "Remember when you didn’t have to enter your personal info online to win a soda?" But I looked at it and was reminded that the marketing hustle never stops. Pepsi and (evil) soda companies have been doing viral marketing stunts like this forever. Looking at this image reminded me why I'm one of those weirdos that likes to look at older advertisements. You can learn from history. You can get ideas from the past that if tweaked and updated a little, can be used in modern marketing. It's a brilliant little campaign that cost Pepsi almost nothing. These bottle caps 100% got me to buy more soda hoping I'd get a free one. You could easily use the idea of this campaign and do something similar for your products (or your client's products). Run a giveaway that they discover on their own. Another kinda similar idea you might have seen are those discount wheel popups -- by OptinMonster. A website visitor clicks to spin a wheel that then lands on some random discount or reward that they can redeem by entering their email address. In summary: 1. Marketing will never stop. 2.
