"No, but it feels weird," I replied. "Perfect," she said. It is true. I went to acupuncture for the first time ever and it was a cool and unique experience. I've always had tight hips (most dudes do) but recently I've really been feeling it more while sitting and/or meditating. Before sticking a bunch of needles in my leg, the acupuncturist asked me a bunch of questions about my problem. I told her about the tightness, a knee injury from decades ago and about how much sitting I do. Then she asked the simplest question ever... and it floored me. "Are you doing any stretching or yoga?" She might as well have said, "Are you trying to solve the problem by doing exactly what you know you should be doing... idiot?" "Sometimes," was my lame reply. Let's get this straight: I'm tight and uncomfortable. And I'm here in this office spending money on a solution when a more obvious answer has been sitting there in front of me the whole time. I know what to do, or at least the best starting point, to solve my problem... and I'm just not doing it. Brilliant stuff, Derek. Then I realized we all do this for just about everything in life. If you're reading this then you likely know exactly what to do to start, grow or maintain your business or freelance career. At minimum, you probably have a good idea of some good-enough first steps. But are you taking those steps or actions? Like my stretching example, probably not fully. There are only 3 ways to grow a business (from Jay Abraham): - Increase the number of customers. - Increase the transaction size. - Increase the purchasing frequency. Some quick examples here: 1. Increase the number of customers: You could focus on getting leads by getting more traffic. What are some first steps for getting traffic? 2. Increase the transaction size: You could gain enough skills & confidence to charge for your services or charge more. This is where CopyHour can help. 3. Increase the purchasing frequency: You could build more products or focus on delivery of products so you can move to the next client. It's likely you have a good idea of what needs to happen FIRST, to move you towards your goal. (Like even though I definitely need more treatment, I know that stretching consistently each day is the logical first step). If you really don't know what to do first, I'd focus on the skills & confidence aspect. Which again, is what CopyHour helps with. After the course you should have a much better idea of how to use those skills within the 3 different ways to build a business. The answer is right there staring at you, checking its watch, waiting for you to take the first step. That's it for today. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
