Today I wanted to take a step back and show you what copywriting has meant to me & my "dream lifestyle". This is one of my most popular emails from the past several years: +++++ This afternoon I went a play a par 3 golf course with my 3 year old. It went... as you'd expect... Pretty poorly. He was running all over the place. Yelling during people's backswing. Picking up my ball. Refusing to move. Refusing not to move. Basic 3 year old behavior. I pulled the plug after 9 holes of madness. I had 2 friends who were there with us, who don't have kids, that were like, "Omg, how/why do you do this?" But these 2 friends are different. They work in the restaurant industry. Which is currently pretty slllooowww because of Covid. So they're not at work on a Monday at 2pm. I, on the other hand, don't work in the restaurant industry. But I'm able to jet out on Monday at 2pm to play golf with my son. Which is, like, THE dream. And even though my dream doesn't look exactly how I pictured it (in my dreams my 3 year old had Tiger Woods levels of focus) it's still pretty remarkable. The purpose of this email is to let you know that if you're pursuing a life of entrepreneurship or freelancing.. that the struggle is worth it. There's something to the saying, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.” I know a lot of people in our industry talk about driving Bentleys, making millions, etc. I'm seeing the industry shifting back towards these big income claims. But I want you to know there's much more to it. Sometimes a chaotic round of golf with your 3 year old on a Monday afternoon is the real dream come true. - Derek Go here to read more about CopyHour: Sent to: {EMAIL} [Unsubscribe]( CopyHour.com, 340 S LEMON AVE, 5007, WALNUT, CA 91789, USA

The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
