Hey {NAME} -- I was listening to a recent podcast with Wim Hof on the Duncan Trussell Family Hourâ?

Hey {NAME} -- I was listening to a recent podcast with Wim Hof on the Duncan Trussell Family Hour… and man, Wim has me pumped on his methods again. I first discovered "The Hof" (my nickname for him) in 2020 just a few weeks before the pandemic. My wife bought me a ticket to a local workshop. I went in thinking it’d be all about ice baths & cold exposure. (Wim Hof holds some [crazy world records]( and has done some extremely cold things like hiking to Everest Base Camp in shorts). I was surprised to find that the majority of the workshop was centered on breathing. Turns out the "craziest" thing I did that day was not an ice bath. It was breathing continuously (and holding in between) for an hour. My entire body was tingling and I went to some deep & stage places in my mind. Later a friend told me that I'd experienced something akin to a mini DMT trip. The science behind Wim Hof's methods are starting to surface & grow. (If you check the Wikipedia link above there are also some criticisms too). [Checkout the research page here.]( This book, [Breath]( likely explains why Wim's methods work so well. Anyway, on the podcast Wim hinted (more like yelled) that the newest studies are showing that his breathing can activate more areas of the brain — he says "deep" areas of the brain that most people never access. How scientifically accurate that is — we’ll have to wait and see). But obviously, I can relate here. I talk about some strange stuff too. I harp on handwriting as a tool to first and foremost remember & memorize (aka learn) faster. But I've also noticed that "ideas" come more easily when I’m handwriting. My brain is on fire after a good handwriting session. And there is [some science]( (it's not mine) on this topic. What I’m getting at: While things might be weird and stressful right now... this is not the time to abandon your mind. Now is the time for IDEAS. Ideas to help yourself. Ideas to help your business or a client’s business. Ideas to button up and make your products more inflation/recession proof. Ideas to make yourself more profitable. And meditation, breathing, handwriting these are all worthwhile activities even when hours or minutes in the day are limited. At the minimum these activities will give you ideas for life & business. At the maximum they’ll make you healthy and rich! 😉 So there's my thought of the day. 🌈 On that note, CopyHour is open for self study. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
