EAD starts next Monday ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

EAD starts next Monday ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Hey {NAME} -- This morning I... Woke up with my 4 year old at 6am. Made coffee & breakfast. (My son prefers his coffee black.) Then my 4 month old woke up. I played with them both. Then as a family, we got my 4 year old ready for school (this process resembles WWE). My wife drove our son to school and I stayed with our 4 month old. We went on a walk in the sunshine. My wife went to Home Depot (and because #HomeDepotCulture is the worst, she was there for close to 2 hours). Then my wife worked on the built-in bad ass bunk beds she's building from scratch. I'm a lucky man. I took care of the 4 month old which is simply exhausting for no reason at all really. Then I went to pick up our son from school. I brought him home and I played/battled/cooked with my 2 kids until bed time. This was a planned day for my wife to power through on the bunk beds. But now I'm sitting here like, damn, what should I write? This is one of the reasons I created the Email-a-Day Challenge. To challenge myself to just write, no excuses. It doesn't have to be perfect. It just needs to get done. Even after a long day at home. (Screw "a long day at the office". That sounds magical rn). Want to challenge yourself? We start this upcoming Monday: +++++ Here's a question I've gotten several times since I started talking about the Email-a-Day Challenge... "What's the difference between the Email-a-Day (EAD) Challenge & your Daily Email Income (DEI) course?" In short, EAD is a "challenge", designed to get you to JUST WRITE. DEI is a full email copy training course on how to write 5-7 emails per week for your business. Both products are very compatible and actually EAD will borrow the first several templates from the DEI course. What makes them different is that, again, one is a challenge and the other is a full course. Why even have a challenge? Well... a lot of people (myself included sometimes) need a kick in the pants to start writing. We learn and study and hand copy, but then don't do the actual writing we need to do. And email copy is a great medium to use because it's short, doesn't require a TON of copywriting knowledge to pull off (unlike a long-form sales letter for example) and writing email copy is a great way to get started with freelance copywriting or marketing consulting.  So, let's come together for 7 short days, and write 7 pieces of email copy. Here are some more details: - "Email-a-Day Challenge" is a challenge to write 7 emails in 7 days. - The Challenge will start on Monday April 25th and end on Sunday May 1st. - Each day you'll get an email with a prompt for a promotional email (7 different types) to write that day, a training video explaining the prompt, and a link to a private Discord (group). (If you don't have a list or client, I'll give you a product to write for so you can build your portfolio or just practice). - You'll go to the Discord and post up a link to your email copy to get quick feedback from the group and Derek. Again, the idea is that you'll have 7 brand new emails to send to your list or to show a potential client... That's what I'm hoping the Email-a-Day Challenge will do for you. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
