Freelance copy “superboom” still in phase 1 Hey {NAME} -- The below email was written by CopyHour coach Austin Lee. Austin, along with CopyHour coach Ning, are re-opening access to their freelance copywriting course "Zero to $6K" this week. Note: You can go here to be put on the [do-not-email list for this week's promotion]( (although... you might learn a thing or two -- this email is pretty great for example. The "Freelance Superboom" is a cool BIG IDEA). I know this is a crazy time of year for folks, so if this course is something you're interested in, don't feel pressure to complete it all over the holidays. You can grab it now while there's the special offer you'll see below... and then continue working on it in the New Year (alongside the CopyHour 2021 course :-)). --- This chart is the reason thousands of new freelancers made it rain in 2020. What you’re looking at, is the recent stock price explosion of the freelancing company Fiverr (NYSE: FVRR). Check this out... Since January 2020, it skyrocketed from $23 per share… to as high as $211 per share… to about $206 per share right now.  That’s a whopping 700% gain, or 8 times your money if you held Fiverr stock! (Trying not to barf as I imagine the sweet cash I missed out on 🤦‍♂️.) But why am I sharing a stock chart on a copywriting newsletter? And why will I recommend an investment today worth FAR more than a 700% ROI? Because this chart is a DIRECT downstream effect of a "Freelance Superboom." Forbes recently reported: As COVID-19 forced professionals out of their offices... They’ve been flocking in droves to sites like Fiverr and Upwork to freelance. Business owners are throwing money hand over fist to hire freelancers. There’s more money up for grabs right now than ever before… And there’s plenty of room for you to grab your cut of the action. The Freelance Superboom is driving a paradigm shift in global business. Fiverr felt it in their top line revenues — up 88% over the same quarter last year. But you can probably feel it in your bones: This new way of business is not a short-term phenomenon. NASDAQ agrees "Despite the Market Turmoil, Fiverr is No Bubble Stock." It’s not just Fiverr, either… Upwork’s stock (NASDAQ: UPWK) sextupled between April and late-October: That’s why I’m certain, when we look back decades from now... The "Early 2020s" will be considered Phase 1 of this Superboom. For new freelancers, this is incredible news. It means we’re still watching the "opening act." Which means you can still jump in on the ground floor. How can I be so sure? Years before Upwork or Fiverr were more than a blip on the media’s radar... I was in the trenches, figuring out how this Wild West of internet commerce actually worked. My ability to put tacos in my mouth, money in the bank, and boardshorts on my waist depended on:  - Writing emails that drew high open & click-through rates - Crafting sales letters that started making sales on Day 1 (and for years after) - Attracting qualified, no-B.S. business owners who were excited to hire me. This was the only air I breathed for two years. When I finally left Upwork, and quit charging hourly for my services… Not including my word-of-mouth and off-platform clients… I had made over $60k on that platform alone (and 80% of that was from just 2 clients). Yet, that was only Phase I of the "AustinBoom"... Because since then, I’ve worked with the biggest names in direct response publishing… Written multi-million dollar campaigns for companies like Agora… Personally coached dozens of up-and-coming copywriters — many whom are now earning steady, high-income paychecks from copywriting... All while working 3-5 hours a day on average. That last part, however, is the real reason I joined the game: insane flexibility. So what was the catalyst? And how can you ignite your own personal "{NAME}boom"? Over the next few days my business partner Ning and I will be running a CopyHour "inbox takeover." - We’ll go deeper into some of the techniques, attitudes & frameworks you can use to make platforms like Upwork and Fiverr extremely lucrative... - Introduce you to some of the individuals we’ve worked with since we became the Certified CopyHour Coaches™ back in 2018 - And lay out a tested eight-week process we’ve helped dozens of copywriters through to [earn their first $6K from freelance copywriting (and how YOU can do the same).]( That’s it for today. Austin P.S. Disclaimer: I’m sure as heck not a financial advisor, nor am I recommending you buy certain stocks… or any stocks for that matter... But what I can say with total certainty? The most profitable invest you can make, is in yourself. [Start right here.]( P.P.S. Ning and I decided to do something unprecedented for the first 20 new members of our course. If you’re looking for personalized feedback on your copy, you’ll want to check this out... 🖥️ Fast-Action Bonus: 20-Min. Video Copy Critique ($167 Value) 🖥️ If you’re one of the first 20 buyers for our Christmas launch of Zero to $6K, you will get a 20-minute video breakdown of any piece of copy you’d like Ning & Austin to critique. It can be an email, a headline, landing pages… whatever you want. Just send us the Google doc or Microsoft Word doc… and we’ll give you an in-depth breakdown of your copy. Specifically, you’ll be getting: - A full 20-minute screen recording of our line-by-line edits, including… - Where to shorten & sharpen your copy for flow & impact, or... - How to "spice up" copy with gut-punch emotion & vivid storytelling... - Or, if you have a specific request (e.g. "how do I make this headline more specific?") we can drill straight into it. In order to secure your critique, you’ll need to get in before December 19 at Midnight, as one of the first 20 new members. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
