Thank you for a great year. I’m ending with a question at the end of this newsletter that means a lot [Coach Tony]( Coach Tony [@tonystubblebine]( Thank you for a great year. I’m ending with a question at the end of this newsletter that means a lot to the purpose of this Better Humans project. I hope you take some time to think about what it means to you. ___ What are you doing less of? [From Chris Sparks](: I thought my annual review would be about doing more but I keep coming back to what I’m cutting out. What are you doing less of in 2022? The top one for me is worrying about outcomes. I think about the outcome when I start and when I finish, but when I’m actually doing the work I want to be fully immersed. One of my core values is to maximize time in flow states and worrying about outcomes is the main anxiety that pulls me out of the present moment. What are you going to be doing less of? ___ Eat more chocolate Eat more good chocolate. This was my 2020 resolution after touring a small local bean-to-bar chocolate maker. BOY, was I glad to have resolved to eat more chocolate in 2020! That one’s still going strong, especially as we turned nomad and have lived all across the US. Almost everywhere has a cool little local chocolate maker to support. Even though this one sounds a bit trivial it’s got the vibe of what living your best life actually feels like. ___ Don’t forget to take action. Things really started happening when I stopped making resolutions and started making decisions. Each day provides a new opportunity to begin a positive change. ___ What does it mean to you to be a Better Human? This newsletter and our publication are both called Better Humans. But what does that mean to you? I usually say that the point of Better Humans is to connect self actualization to community actualization. The better you become as a person the better you can make the world. I’m curious what that means to you. Let me know. ___ And with that, goodbye 2021. I’m going to take this final day of the year to do some journaling about gratitude, I’m going to work out, one of my nephews is going to take me to a basketball court and dazzle me (he’s really good), and then Sarah and I are going to gather with friends and family for a big meal. I’m a night owl, so I’m sure I’ll be up for the ball drop. Then I’m going to kiss Sarah and we’ll remind ourselves how grateful we are for each other and the life we’ve built. I’m a better human than I was in 2020 and I hope to be even better still in 2022. Don’t miss out on the other issues by Coach Tony [Become a member for $5 per month]( Did you enjoy this issue? Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
