Stress is not bad for you; being stuck is bad for you.” That’s from [Emily Nagoski]( and [Amelia Nagoski](’s book, [Burnout : The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle](. (h/t to [Brittany Jezouit]( for recommending). — ✉️ Writing these newsletters is revitalizing. My favorite part is getting responses. My second favorite part is reading and researching the tips that go into each issue. Thank you for reading! — 💰 So far I’m mostly covering productivity, purpose, and happiness. But… to be blunt… do any of you want to make more money? I’ve left out a ton of career, leadership, and marketing advice (and I’m sitting on a ton of gems there). Let me know! — 🧸 [This is How Far Out of Your Comfort Zone You Should Step]( by [Marta Brzosko]( Marta’s article reminded me of a lot of Flow work. To achieve Flow, you are constantly modulating challenges. If something is too easy, then modulate it up. If it’s frustrating, then modulate it down. — 🚴 Why do Tour de France riders ride on the two rest days during the three-week race? Wouldn’t it be better to get full rest? The intention is simply to stop the legs coming to an abrupt halt, leading to further suffering when the race reconvenes ~ [via Cyclist](. The reason I feel burnout right now is that for me (knock on wood) the worst phase of the pandemic ended. We stayed diligent in the way of the unvaccinated. And then we got vaccinated. So my body recognizes that the need for that diligence went away and so now I can come to an abrupt halt. (Of course, I’m fighting with myself about allowing that to actually happen.) — 📵 More hiding your phone at home, from Keith from [This ADHD Life]( The tool that was supposed to connect us when we were out of the house has transformed into something that disconnects us from people when we are in our houses. My hard and fast rule is that the phone never enters my bedroom. I do my best to keep it on an old console radio in the hallway when I’m home. That’s worked well enough that now when I “slip up” I wind up getting annoyed with the number of beeps and boops vying for my attention and return the phone to its home. — 💪 How can I help you achieve your goals? A few things I run that could help you: - [A positive reinforcement habit tracker iPhone app](. It’s free and it’ll help you build great new habits. - Get a coach on the [Coach.me coaching directory](. - Read how to improve your own life, your productivity, your leadership, your health. This is all at [Better Humans](. - If you are an entrepreneur or have a side project or are looking to build financial independence, read [Better Marketing](. Don’t miss out on the other issues by Coach Tony [Become a member for $10 per month]( Did you enjoy this issue? [Yes]( [No]( [Coach Tony]( Coach Tony [@tonystubblebine]( Human potential busy body.
