OpenAI's got you. At its DevDay conference on Monday, the company announced a new program that'll let users build their own special-purpose AI apps based on OpenAI technology. The program is accessible now via the company's website. According to CEO Sam Altman, you don’t need to be a coder to be able to build these new special-purpose versions of ChatGPT. You'll be able to give plain-language instructions, and you can choose and upload whatever information you want the model to draw from. Altman demonstrated how it would work by uploading some of his entrepreneur-focused TED Talks and guiding the model to pull from the talks to deliver advice for startup companies. OpenAI also said it'll launch an online store later this month that'll let people find or share the different apps, which it's calling GPTs.
