Ohio’s pediatricians, business leaders, parents and counselors are uniformly opposed. {NAME}, Just two days after dozens of Ohio physicians and LGBTQ+ allies spoke out against the stigmatizing and targeting of transgender people in Ohio, the GOP-led legislature passed a bill Human Rights Campaign calls a “shameful and cowardly attack.” Overriding Gov. DeWine’s 2023 veto, the GOP legislature has now criminalized gender-affirming care for minors statewide and restricted trans youth from participating in sports.  “Despite the fact that they have no medical training, these politicians believe they know better than parents and transgender youth seeking health care. It’s shameful.”  “They know full well [this] will harm innocent children, all to appease the leader of the MAGA agenda.”  -HRC President Kelley Robinson  Survey data shows 80% of Ohioans support protections for LGBTQ+ people. In a recent statement, the Ohio Children’s Hospital Association said this law “will be devastating to kids and their families who are already at their most vulnerable.”  With anti-LGBTQ hate fully mainstreamed in today’s Republican Party, we must stand against this blatant disregard for the doctor-patient relationship and just basic dignity and human rights.  [Your support right now is vital.
