When Democrats run strong, principled, well-funded campaigns, they win—BIG. {NAME}, Last night, a Democrat outperformed Biden's 2020 showing in a special election by 25 points. And in another election last night, a Democrat outperformed Biden by a whopping 26 points, losing only by 5% in a Republican stronghold in Oklahoma that the GOP candidate should have won by at least 30%. But the banner headline result was this: former Rep. Tom Suozzi easily flipped the congressional seat vacated by disgraced grifter George Santos, who won by 10% in 2022.  Suozzi ran an assertive and confident campaign that focused on a fair economy, fighting for our democracy, and border security—the latter issue, in particular, is one that Suozzi took head-on, highlighting that Republicans are in such disarray that they killed progress on a bipartisan border security measure that they themselves demanded only a few short months ago. When Democrats run strong, principled, and well-funded campaigns that clearly define the issues and the stakes facing voters, they win—big.  We are now one seat closer to a majority in November. I am running against a flip-flopping, do-nothing Republican representative who helped kill the common sense, sorely needed bipartisan border security bill that my voters want.  Every indicator here in purple Ohio is telling us loudly and clearly that we can flip seats like mine this year—if we come together and fight for it.
