A CT scan at the ER revealed a mass in his colon, and further testing confirmed it was stage four colon cancer. He was rushed to an operating room, where emergency surgery removed the mass and part of his colon. The cancer had already spread to his liver and his lymph nodes. Keith would need another surgery, as well as chemotherapy. [WATCH KEITH'S STORY]( After five months, the cancer appeared to be gone, but Keith’s doctor suggested getting biomarker testing to be sure no cancer was still in his bloodstream. Biomarker testing wasn’t covered by his insurance, but Keith agreed to get it done – something not everyone can afford.
