Show your support for equitable cancer research [American Cancer Society]( [DONATE]( [Sign the Pledge]( Dear {NAME}, Did you know: For most types of cancer, Black people have the highest death rate and shortest survival of any racial/ethnic group in the United States? In fact, Black women are 41% more likely to die from breast cancer than White women. That statistic is even more striking because fewer Black women are diagnosed with breast cancer than White women. Reasons for these statistics are complex, but one thing is clear: More research is needed to better understand the causes of health disparities, so that everyone can have an equal opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer. [If you agree, will you sign our pledge today?]( [SIGN THE PLEDGE]( The American Cancer Society is a leader in cancer research. Thanks to our supporters, we have helped contribute to advances that have led to earlier detection of breast cancer, fewer people who smoke, and more cancer survivors. But we know we cannot achieve our mission of ending cancer as we know it, for everyone, if research is not inclusive of every community touched by cancer. [Will you take a few moments to show your support for better representation in cancer research studies?]( [SIGN THE PLEDGE]( Thank you, {NAME}, for all you do in the fight against cancer.
