Have you ever heard of the Pareto Principle?  If not, perhaps you know it as the 80/20 Ruleâ

Have you ever heard of the Pareto Principle?  If not, perhaps you know it as the 80/20 Rule…  It states that 80% of the effects we observe in the world are actually only brought about by 20% of the causes.   Things like…  –80% of a company’s productivity comes from 20% of its employees…  –80% of a person’s stress is caused by 20% of the people the know  –80% of societies’ wealth is held by 20% of the people…  And so on…  It’s named after an early-20th century Italian economist named Vilfredo Pareto.   Now-a-days the 80/20 rule shows up most often within business circles and people interested in maximizing their productivity…  Because once you understand these patterns…you can really leverage them to your advantage.   For example, business owners often notice that 80% of their productivity comes from 20% of their actions…so they “hack” their day by spending more time on what’s actually driving results.   So what does this have to do with Basketball?  Well Breakthrough Basketball’s very own Don Kelbick has made an amazing career out of applying the Pareto Principle to basketball.   And it’s taken him to the pinnacle of the sport…  He’s developed NBA Champions and Olympic Gold Medalists as an NBA Skills Coach and an International Player Development Coach…and he spent 24 years coaching D1, D2, and D3.  And if you boil down his entire philosophy on coaching…it can be understood by the Pareto Principle.   He became OBSESSED with discovering the skills and movements that are proven to yield the most success on the court.   And over time…just like Vilfredo Pareto…he began to notice certain patterns in the game.   He noticed that the same exact footwork, pivots, and counters that yield the highest rate of scoring success show up over and over within games…just in different situations…  And certain shooting patterns are statistically proven to increase field-goal percentages.  For example, in a typical season only around 30% of shots occur after a shooter takes three or more dribbles (so 70% of shots occur within 2 dribbles or less)  And on top of that…points per shot are always the highest with the least amount of dribbles.  A couple years ago I ran calculations for NBA Players and here’s how it broke down:  –Zero dribbles– 1.18 Points Per Shot (PPS) –One Dribble– 1.05 PPS –Two Dribbles– 0.96 PPS –Three to Six Dribbles– 0.96 PPS –Seven+ Dribbles– 0.97 PPS  WIth these patterns in mind (as well as others) Coach Kelbick began developing workouts that did two things:  - Focus precious practice time around situations that occur most frequently in games - Spent the bulk of practice time developing those skills that are statistically proven to increase the players’ chance of scoring  This allowed him to leverage his practice time to get the absolute most out of each session…focusing the bulk of his players’ time on developing the skills that are most likely to result in points…  If you want to use the exact workouts Coach Kelbick uses to apply the 80/20 Principle…  We’re offering Lifetime Access to his [“Attack and Counter” Workout Program]( for the price of the regular one-year subscription until this Sunday, July 9.   This is a web-based app that players can take with them to the gym…even if you can’t be there to lead the drills.  And you can track their day-to-day progress using the “Coaches Dashboard.”   Normally a one-user annual subscription costs $99 per year. This comes to $297 over three years.  Right now, you can get lifetime access for just $297 $99… that’s a discount of over 70%!  And you get even bigger discounts for multi-player bundles!  This limited-offer is available in 3 subscription-tiers: –Two-Person Bundle –Team (up to 15 people) –Program (up to 50 people) [Click here]( to take advantage of this offer and get Lifetime Access to Coach Kelbick’s 80/20 “Attack and Counter” Workouts (that’s Lifetime Access for just one payment).  All the best,  Joe Haefner Breakthrough Basketball  This email was sent to {EMAIL} because you indicated that you'd like to receive emails and updates from Breakthrough Basketball on 2016-12-16 05:42:39.
