In Arizona, some on the right are finally realizing the political repercussions of enforcing outdated abortion laws from 1864. But many Republican politicians still haven’t learned this lesson: - In Florida, a law that bans abortions just six weeks after fertilization, before many women even know that they are pregnant. - The Supreme Court is currently hearing a case that could determine whether states could block emergency healthcare – including abortion services – for pregnant people. - And here in Iowa, our state government is pushing forward with an extreme, six-week abortion ban that would threaten the health and rights of women across our state.
