Maybe we already knew this, but it's good to know science is on our side.

If only it were a leap year. Ugh, Iâm laughing way too hard.
Sorry.
   Â
Anyhoo, we have one last round of pawsome stuff to share with with you before 2016 comes to a close.
Very important news
Study finally confirms that dogs are simply better company than people
Itâs like in Psych 101 when you learned that people can have different personalities. Sometimes you just need science to prove what you knew all along.

In [a survey of hundreds of pet owners], it became clear that there is not a whole lot that can get between a dog and her human:
- More than half of the participants would trust their dogâs judgement before their motherâs. My mother still wears shoulder pads so that makes sense.
- Over 1/4 of pet parents have brought their dogs on a date. Additionally, 61% of people said that they would to end a relationship because their significant other didn't like their pet. Ending a relationship for a pet? Heck, I would end a life for my pet, if I had to. Just kidding! Maybe⦠ð¬ ðª
- 45% of pet parents spend more money on their pet than their partner every month. Okay, itâs not the burp itself â itâs the act of snuggling up right after dinner time. Because your dogâs safest, happiest place to sleep off a food coma is right there, in your arms.
- 95% of dog owners would rather spend the night at home cuddling with their dog than going on a blind date. This oneâs not too surprising. I mean, Iâd rather gouge my eyes out with a soup spoon than go on a blind date. Which ironically enough would make every date a blind date. ð
All of this is to say that it is 100% okay for you to stay home with your pup this New Yearâs Eve. Youâll be guaranteed a kiss!

Can't argue with data.

GAH! So cute! Theyâve learned the fine art of photo booth posing.
Pose 1: âArenât we just so doggone cute as a couple?â
Pose 2: âLetâs pretend like weâre supermodels!â
Pose 3: âFake fightâ
Pose 4: âPsychhhh, we were just kiddinâ about that fight. It was all a joke, guys!â

The life of a shelter dog
Spoiler alert: there's a happy ending
Not all dogs are adopted as puppies and live wonderful lives in homes that care for them. Sometimes, dogs take the long way round.
In this illustrated webcomic, written by Benjamin Moore and drawn by the [very talented Barbara Mazzi], a dog is born into a puppy mill, purchased in a pet shop, given as a gift for Christmas, and then surrendered to a shelter when he becomes too âdifficult.â But that isnât where his story ends. In fact, thatâs only the beginning.
Read the full illustrated webcomic [here].
See ya!
