[daily doodle] Yappy Wednesday, folks! There’s a lot us hoomans have in common with our dogs. We get excited for old friends, we eat food off the floor sometimes (it’s ok), and we both have a soft spot for a sweet tune. [sweet moves][Shanek291 via YouTube] Did You Know? The science of animals + music is getting cooler every day Some kooky things we've learned about our pets and music lately: Dogs in kennels feel more relaxed when they listen to classical music. [Check it out.] Turns out Beethoven’s a fan of Mozart! A composer made music just for cats and they fur-real love it. [Seriously. It happened.] My dog literally started pawing to get out as soon as I played this. Gotta know your audience! Fish know the difference between composers. [Yup.] Can’t say I’m surprised. Fish go to all the best schools. When a male bird sings, female birds like it and other males are like, “Ugh whatever.”[Also true.] In other words, it’s the bird version of a dude playing Wonderwall at a party. Check out the links above if you don't believe us, or take our word for it and scroll on for more cute stuff that will be music to your eyes. Good 💩 we picked up at the dog park Pup parent keeps his Goldie pup smiling with a mellow guitar tune [ [Phil Andal via YouTube] Phil Andal, a crazy dog lovin' papa ([@peandal]) helps his Golden Retriever pup relax with a living room jam session. Perfect way to mellow out after a nice day of chasing tails and bounding about a backyard. If your pup knew how to hold a lighter, you know they’d be raising it high for this tune. Jam out with the whole adorable video [here.] Gypsy the pup figured out pretty quick that waterslides ARE THE BEST [weeee] [Select Shows via Facebook] Have you ever thought you were done with a game of fetch? Then you get that look from your dog that says: "Buckle up, bud. We’re doing this til your arm falls off." Imagine what would happen if you introduced your fun lovin' pup to a friggin’ waterslide. As soon as Gypsy ran up those steps for round 2 I knew they were gonna be there for a while. (P.S: Take a ride on the slide! Watch the full video [here.]) Sweet Husky is the jealous little sister inside us all [Link: [Shanghaiist via Facebook] "Ugh we get it Mom, Sadie has perfect grades and she's the homecoming queen AND she got a try-out for the U.S. Junior Olympics gymnastics team! WHATEVER. Someday my poems will change the world." (But seriously, I'm sure they're just teasing that Husky and a hurricane of belly rubs is heading her way soon. Who could resist those eeeeeeyes???) The cutest, most adorable adoptable puppies (yes plural) of the week! On Monday, we brought you [the wonderful story of a Pennsylvania bride] and her bridal party who decided they were going to pose with adoptable puppies instead of bouquets. (*Editors note - best idea ever.) But did you know that all these dogs are still available for adoption? [so cute][Caroline Logan via Caroline Logan Photography] The puppies included five Boxer/Coonhound sisters (Martha, Abigail, Dolley, Elizabeth, and Louisa) and one wrinkly little Pit Bull named Biggie Smalls. They're all available through [Pitties Love Peace], an organization dedicated to helping the most mistreated, misunderstood dog in the world, the Pit Bull. If you’re interested in adopting these ridiculously cute creatures - or any of the other dogs at the rescue! - [check out their website] for more information. [awww][Caroline Logan via Caroline Logan Photography] Well, today’s jam session is just about wrapped. If you have any adorable clips of your pup rocking out to a good tune, send 'em our way by hitting reply on this email. This is WBARK Radio signing off! [Image: PS: Did you like this email?
