One of those athletes was Charjo Grant, who managed to place 12th at the 2021 Olympia despite raising a family and serving in the United States Army.  So how is Grant going to top his spot as the 12th best Men’s Physique athlete on the WHOLE PLANET? Hard work (duh). Coming in second place two years in a row really sucks. Two-time runner-up at the Classic Physique Olympia Terrence Ruffin isn’t leaving an iota of his 2022 prep to chance. And so it makes sense that he would opt to train at Westside Barbell in Columbus, OH — where lifters are so serious about working out that [violence has ensued]( in the gym. However, Ruffin’s weights are the only thing that caught a beating this time. "Big Ramy" Goes Bigger [big ramy]( Courtesy of @big_ramy on Instagram Legend has it that when Bruce Banner gets angry, he morphs into Big Ramy. Mamdouh Elssbiay told his nutrition coach, Dennis James, that he’s 341 pounds in his off-season — WITH abs! During his last two Olympia wins, Ramy was just over 290 pounds. [Bodybuilder Sadik Hadzovic doing dumbbell incline press]( Courtesy of Sadik Hadzovic on YouTube Jacobim Mugatu does not write this newsletter, but if he did, his opinion of the day would probably be: “Sadik Hadzovic is so hot right now.” Hadzovic has four million followers (between YouTube and Instagram, and announced to them on Jan. 12th that he’s returning to competition at the 2022 New York Pro (taking place May 21st). His last placing was sixth at the 2019 Arnold Classic, but it seems that Sadik is training hard for his return to Men’s Physique. When supply is down, demand goes up, and fans are stoked to hear that Sadik is dusting off the board shorts in the new year.
