Are you wondering too? ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Hello {NAME}, You might be surprised to know that the members of the School who make the most progress in their skill, keep making time to create, and are now filling sketchbooks with gorgeous new art…didn’t join right away. They waited to join, because they take this step seriously. That’s why I’m not worried about you - even though tomorrow is the final day you have to join before the price doubles [I'm ready to join and save 50%]( Artists are curious and thoughtful, and in the last few days we’ve received some really thoughtful questions from potential painters. So I thought I’d share some of the frequently asked questions about the School. If you don’t see your question answered here or in the expanded FAQ on the [School info page]( - hit reply and ask. Q: What is the School, and what’s included? A: It’s a membership that teaches you how to create nature inspired realistic watercolour paintings - even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before. You get: 🎨 A library of 145+ video tutorials in the library - teaching you how to paint step-by-step as you create gorgeous, nature inspired pieces of art, following tutorials that are suitable for all experience levels, including complete beginners. 😃 Guided courses you can begin immediately which take you step-by-step through the basics and beyond, to create beautiful art with my unique painting method, that’s already helped over 16,000 people learn to paint. ✏️ A selection of tutorials you can start with right away, using supplies you already have to hand, so you can act on your creative spark as soon as you join and log in. 📝 Clear starting instructions including gathering your watercolour supplies, with easy-order links if you’re buying, and tips on building your own starter kit if you’re going to begin with what you can find. Then to keep fuelling the creative the fire inside you, as a member you’ll get: 🔥 A weekly email for members, packed with tips and inspiration 🔥 At least one new gorgeous nature art tutorial each month 🔥 New guided courses being added to the Course Library regularly 🔥 The option to get encouraging feedback on your work 🔥 New website features and developments that will be rolled out regularly in the coming year, to make your experience the best it can possibly be. 🔥 Access to our super friendly, supportive community who want you to thrive And when you’re ready, you’ll unlock LOADS more included in your membership that’s specifically designed to help you start painting independently, without our tutorials. Q: Will I be good enough? 🙇‍♀️ A: Yes! The School really is suitable for all levels of experience. If you are a total beginner, you will be shown everything you need to know to start. If you have previous experience, everything is taught in bite sized steps, so you can easily pick up where you left off with painting. All that we ask is that you’re kind to yourself and don’t expect yourself to produce masterpieces from day one. (No one does!) You’ll learn to relax into painting, trust in the process, and develop your skills with every painting tutorial you complete. Our kind and supportive community is a safe space for sharing your work if you want to. You’re the only one who can show up and do the work, but we’ve stopped at nothing to make your learning experience as easy and rewarding as possible. Q: What if I join and then decide the School’s not for me? 😬 A: That’s OK! This has to feel right for you, so we offer a 7-day money back promise. If within a week of joining us you have a change of heart, all you need to do is email us and we’ll happily give you your money back in full. Q: Will I get feedback on my work? 🙋‍♀️ A: Yes, if you want it! This is a self-directed, group learning experience - but I know how important feedback is, so we’ve made sure you get it!. You don’t have to share your work if you prefer to keep it to yourself. But if want to request feedback, you can choose to upload it and ask for feedback. Our highly supportive community and team members love encouraging members and offering pointers if they’re requested. Q: Will I need to spend money on expensive equipment? 🎨 A: I’m not going to pretend that the paints, paper and brushes you use don’t impact the results you get. They do! But no - you don’t need to spend big bucks to start painting and try out your new hobby. Many of our members start with whatever equipment they have on hand, and it works well. Once they know they’re in love with painting, then they upgrade their equipment gradually, when they’re ready. (And they start to love their results even more!) If you’re buying new, you can get a starter kit for around USD $135 or GBP £110. You can complete most of the beginner tutorials using these materials, and they will last you years because, with my method, a tiny amount of paint goes a long, long way. Each tutorial lists how much time to allow, the paints required to create it, and more practical details that make it easy to get started. As well, I give you easy-buy links to retailers to make it straightforward. But if you’d prefer to start with whatever equipment you have, that’s still great. Many members choose to begin this way and upgrade their equipment gradually when they’re ready. Also, paints in tubes are easy to share! You might just find that friends, family or neighbours have supplies sitting in a cupboard which they’d be very happy to let you use. If they have paints in similar colours to the ones I recommend, you can take a clean dinner plate and ask for a blob of each colour onto it, around the edge. You can let them dry then use this as your palette. I let my paints dry on the palette in this way and use a wet brush to pick up the pigment. It’s always worth asking around. Lots of nearly-new art supplies make their way onto second hand shopping sites like Facebook Marketplace, eBay and Craigslist, so if you’re buying, you can often make a saving by looking in those places too. Q: Do I need to be able to draw? ✏️ A: Not at all! Every tutorial comes with an outline drawing which you can print and trace. If you prefer to make your drawings freehand, there are resources [in the School]( to help you with that. There are freehand drawing tutorials on a range of subjects, and more of those will be released later this year. Q: What if I need support? 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 A: Help is never far away! If you ever have a problem with the subscription process, using the School website, or you just need more information, our support team is here to help you. Just email us at info@annamasonart.com or reply to any of my emails. For painting related support, we have a searchable, comprehensive Help Centre which answers a breadth of questions you may have. We also have the School forum, which is the perfect place for asking questions of your fellow School members. They are always happy to answer and help. We’re all rooting for you! Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
