Hi {NAME}, Usually May is my favourite month, but this year, it hasn't been so great. Phil broke his collarbone in a cycling accident and is now recovering after surgery to mend him. πŸ’™πŸ©Ή The children have been poorly with bug after bug. 🦠 And I've got a cold that just won't go away. πŸ˜ͺ But there have been some beautiful moments too. Like when we had a little party to celebrate Fern's 3rd birthday πŸ₯³ And when I went to RHS Garden Wisley to do some nature journaling on my birthday. Have you watched [the little video]( I shared on insta from that day? I went to the Wisley orchard to observe, draw, paint and ponder the last of the blossom on the apple trees. 🌸🌳 It was a fun and mindful experience. And I really enjoyed the deeper connection I felt with nature, as well as the things I learned as I explored my thoughts and observations. I'll definitely be heading out with my nature journal again soon. πŸ“— But with life being so busy right now, I do feel like I've missed out on some of spring's beauty this year. In case you feel like that too, or if you just feel like immersing yourself in spring, I've got something to share with you today. It's a vintage mini class, where I show you [how to paint apple blossom in watercolour](. πŸ–ŒΓ―ΒΈΒ It's a great exercise in painting with subtle, pale colours. And it's a reminder that, with a paintbrush in your hand (and a photo to work from), you have the magical power to extend a season and enjoy it for as long as you like.Ҝ¨ I hope you enjoy this mini class. Please [leave me a comment]( if you do. It always gives me a big boost to read them. With love, Anna Xoxo p.s.
