They may have been in treasured family albums, with or without names, but no one knows who they are and how they fit into the family. The one thing that all of these photos have in common is this: They all are orphans and have lost their families. And that's what the people who shared these photos are trying to rectify. They've rescued these unique photos and are working to reunite them with someone who cares. Please take a look and see if you can help in any way. Do you recognize any clues that can shed light on locations or dates? Do you potentially recognize a face in one of these photos? Leave a comment - every voice counts! Each and every single one of these orphan photos represents a life, is special, and deserves a home with a loved one.]( [Read more]( Photo Highlights [Before Buster Keaton filmed it . . .]( [Another kind of scary - at least for some of us - is heights. This photographer was taking photos of construction workers at the Met Building in New York City on the 33rd floor (1908). Guess he decided to try standing on the ledge himself?]( [The Walking Dead]( [Since we're in the last part of October, here's a "spooky" photo from 1914. They were posed for a formal photo at some sort of Ball (Navy?) but with their closed eyes and stiff poses, they look a bit like the "walking dead"?]( [Early 1900's - 4 Men Friends]( [The men look happy but that's a sad face on the poor little donkey! A photo from the "lost and found", can you see any clues as to the time and place? The caps make us think of the 1920s.]( [Tannenbaum family in 1920 Berlin]( [The Tannenbaums, 1920 Berlin Germany. This is a handsome and prosperous looking family and yet, in US eyes, the photo looks earlier than 1920. Were European styles that different 100 years ago?]( [Martin Luther King Jr and NYC Medallion]( [On this day in 1964, MLK Jr. found out that he was the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. The prize came with $54,000 (almost half a million today), which he donated to civil rights causes. Six days after returning from Oslo to accept the prize (Dec 1964) he received a medal from the Mayor of NYC (shown here)]( [See what's going on]( [#ancientfaces]( [instagram.png]( [facebook.png]( [twitter.png]( [tumblr.png]( [pinterest.png]( [linkedin.png]( Our mailing address is: AncientFaces 65 Washington StSanta Clara, California 95050 [Add us to your address book]( You are receiving this email because you opted to receive select information from AncientFaces.com. © 2020 AncientFaces llc [unsubscribe]( | [update email preferences](
