I’ve learned along the way that there are some clever tricks for ensuring that everything is cooked properly once that timer goes off. Stagger the cooking. Learn which vegetables need to be cooked first in the oven, or in the microwave, before adding your protein or more delicate vegetables to the sheet pan, such as heartier root vegetables. Treat your sheet pan like a preheated skillet, such as in this recipe for [steak and sweet potatoes](. And finally, finish with a sprinkling of fresh herbs or a quick stir-together sauce such as this [Za'atar Yogurt Sauce]( which is both flavorful and refreshing.
