It is a competition show, and the winner gets to be on the cast for the America’s Test Kitchen television show! It is a ton of fun and a lot of food, but as you can imagine, I am away from my family for six weeks! This Memorial Day weekend, the number one thing I want to do is spend time with my family and friends. I want to cook outside, walk around the neighborhood, and catch up with those I have missed the most. I love using the grill for as much as I can, so I often combine the main, the sides, and sometimes dessert on the grill at the same time (bonus points if your grill has one of those shelves to rest sensitive/cooked food on to stay warm). I am definitely going to make this [Grilled Pizza]( (which really leans into my Rhode Island roots as there is a restaurant nearby known for theirs), this [Grilled Sweet Potato Salad]( and just because I can’t not (sorry for the double negative), I will definitely be making our [Grill-Fried Chicken Wings](. Those three recipes really check off all the boxes for a proper outdoor hang. And because I am a softie, I am going to make a few variations of the [Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches]( for my kids and the neighborhood clan!
