so ridiculous. Have you ever [self-sabotaged]( a really good thing, {NAME}? I know I have… Let me tell you a story about the ridiculous reason I almost walked away from my best (and highest-paying) client… When I first started my freelancing business, I was like most new freelancers… A nervous wreck. Always second-guessing if my writing was good enough… Constantly checking my inbox for the latest round of client feedback… Watching my Google doc like a hawk to monitor any changes… Sound familiar? Well, the panic that followed THIS event was even worse. Several years ago, I sent some copy over to one of my best clients… I waited for their response… And waited… And waited… And after 3 whole days of radio silence, I decided to check the Google doc (for the umpteenth time) to see if they had made any notes or changes. I opened up the document and… NOTHING. Yep – there was nothing in it. My client had deleted the entire document. 😲😲😲 *cue panic mode* I immediately began ruminating on the worst-case scenario… “OMG – they stole my copy and aren’t going to pay me. I’m never going to hear from them again. They totally ripped me off. F*ck them. I’m screwed. How am I going to pay rent this month? I need another client ASAP.” Have you ever spiraled like this, {NAME}? If you have, then you know that one of two things happens next… 1) You allow the panic parade to take over. You send a passive-aggressive (or aggressive-aggressive lol) message to the client explaining to them why they are *in fact* the worst. You demand your money pronto. OR… 2) You take a moment to breathe and think about all the possible scenarios that actually make way more sense (like, oh I don’t know, a simple mistake was made). You send a professional message to check in and see what’s up. Thankfully, I chose option #2… And guess what happened? The client had been swamped with something and didn’t have time to check the copy as quickly as usual… In the meantime, a member of their team had opened the Google doc and accidentally deleted everything when copying it over to their web page. All I had to do was revert to the last edition of the document and voila. They weren’t ghosting me… They weren’t stealing my copy and running… They had no intention of not paying me… They made a simple mistake. Had I freaked out and acted unprofessionally – I could have lost my best-paying client… Over nothing more than a misunderstanding. This is something I see happening a lot in the business world. Especially with so many communications happening online (without tone of voice or facial expressions to help convey true meaning). So how can you avoid mishaps like this, stop self-sabotaging yourself and build a business that feels good? I got you covered in this week’s [YouTube video](. Here’s what you’ll learn 👇 ✅ My go-to mantra. If you ever find yourself thinking, “I’m not doing enough,” then THIS is for you… ✅ Why comparison is not *always* a bad thing and how to use it to transform your life at lightning speed… ✅ The #1 mindset shift I adopted early in my freelancing journey that saved my career (seriously)… ✅ And lots more little nuggets of wisdom I learned in the last 15 years. So you can stop stressing and second-guessing and rock 2024 like the badass you are 😉 Watch Now: [3 Mindset Shifts To Create The Life & Career Of Your Dreams]( Alex P.S.
