The ultimate âcomeback storyâ. {NAME}... I'm going to tell you something that is, well, kind of embarrassing to admit. Way before I started the Copy Posse⦠Way before I [earned my first million]( Way before I started creating content⦠And way before I had the business tools, experience and proven blueprint that I have today (more on that in a moment)⦠I started a business. And it failed miserably. (You'll never believe how much money I lost ð) Here's the back story⦠After I quit my job as the Creative Director at Mindvalley (circa 2011), my best friend and I packed up our lives and moved to the Philippines to do the whole digital nomad thing. Now, this was genius (if I do say so myself)⦠Instead of paying for a hotel, we bartered our marketing and copywriting skills in exchange for a 1200-square-foot suite overlooking the ocean⦠Where we stayed for an entire 30 days free. 𤯠We basically created an epic system for "free travel" before travel influencers were even a thing (remember this was 2011, {NAME})... Kinda cool right? So what did we do? We created a program to teach other freelancers how to cash in their skills for free travel â obviously. Lol. We wrote a killer sales page...
We recorded a webinar training...
We did it allâ¦
And we had no idea what we were doing. This was not so genius. Although we did make some sales⦠After years of trying to get it off the ground, while simultaneously running our own freelancing and consulting businesses (because hey, we had bills to pay), we made the tough decision to shut it down⦠Despite our best efforts, it just didn't happen. In fact, when all was said and done, our accountant let us know we had lost a total of $80,000 in that business. Ouch. ð Let's just say it was a REALLY great way to learn what to do (and what NOT to do) when it comes to [building an online business](. After the hit to my ego (and my bank account), I spent the next few years working behind the scenes as a marketing consultant and copywriter⦠Executing successful launches (and some not-so-successful launches)... Helping businesses start and scale⦠And witnessing firsthand what ACTUALLY WORKS. When I started the Copy Posse (circa 2020), I had a proven blueprint under my belt⦠And it made all the difference. I launched my first program in January 2020 to a small list of 2350 and pulled in a life-changing $84,000 that week⦠(Then I fired most of my clients ð¤£) And that year I made [my first $1M](. How's that for a comeback story? ðð»ââï¸ So while admitting that I lost $80K on a poorly planned, poorly researched and poorly executed business idea is kind of embarrassing⦠The truth is, I wouldn't change it for the world. Because I've made millions from it (and learned SOOOO much in the process). In case you missed my YouTube video this week, I share the [ONE THING]( I did that first year of the Copy Posse to make $1M⦠And it's simpler than you think. To your big idea, Alex P.S. You'll get your hands on my proven Big Idea Blueprint and find out exactly what I did to build my authority, monetize my audience and successfully launch my first product (from scratch).
