I felt defeated, lost and alone. The year was 2012… I had just quit my cushy job as the Creative Director at one of the largest personal development brands in the world… Moved halfway across the world… Was dealing with some major health issues… Had no paycheck and very little savings... And had just gone through the worst breakup of my life. I vividly remember sobbing on the floor of my tiny rented apartment... Feeling so defeated, lost and alone. So what did I do? I decided THAT would be a good time to [start my freelancing business](. HA! They say the best ideas come from either desperation or inspiration... Well, at that moment, I wreaked of pure grade-A desperation, baby... I was willing to do whatever it took to get myself off that damn floor (metaphorically speaking). The first year of my freelancing career was rough. I worked long days, late nights and took on clients that still make me cringe today... But eventually, I moved from a place of desperation to one of inspiration. I landed a few great clients and started making some money. It took me a couple more years before I really started to feel in flow with my freelancing business… Where clients were coming to me by referral, I was making $300K+ a year, I was more confident with my skills, and things generally felt… easier. And while I'm proud of what I've built and have no regrets... When I think back to those early days, there are definitely [a few things I wish I would have done differently]( If I could travel back through time and space and tell sobbing-on-the-floor Alex anything, I would tell her: You don’t have to join the 5am club in order to be successful… You don’t have to journal 3 pages every single day in order to be successful… You don't have to read every damn business book ever written in order to be successful... And you definitely don’t have to embark on a magical "journey" with a shaman in a yurt in order to be successful 🤣… All you have to do is implement [a few practical and sustainable habits](. {NAME} – I’ve been in this business for over a decade now… I’ve tried every “fail-proof habit” and “productivity hack” in the book… But [these 7 smart habit]( have become non-negotiables in my life and have contributed massively to my success. And in this week's YouTube video, I’m sharing each and every one with you… Including the most important habit you’ll ever learn in business 👀 Watch Now: [7 Non-Negotiable Routines For Success In Business & Life]( To you, Alex P.S. {NAME} – if you're currently in the early days of your business – feeling defeated, lost or alone.
