When social stalking pays off ð How much time do you spend doom-scrolling social media, {NAME}? If youâre anything like me, then the answer is probably "way more than I should" ð But what if the time you spent scrolling on your phone was actually⦠productive? And what if this seemingly "wasted" time wasnât killing your brain cells and fueling your procrastination but instead was your golden ticket to landing new clients? 𤣠Ok, so most of the time, this argument has absolutely zero legs... But it's exactly what happened for my Reignmaker, Alexis. She used multiple social media platforms to strategically research, review, and apply for a role as a social media manager. Her social stalking skills paid off. She landed this client less than 24 hours later... And not only that, but this business owner is a serial entrepreneur. Meaning he has multiple other businesses that heâs excited to get her help with in the future too. So she basically just landed 4 clients in one ð Not bad, eh? Hereâs how it went down⦠ðð» ððð Isnât that amazing!? Here are the biggest takeaways you can learn from Alexisâ epic #win⦠1. If you're in the "need to get clients" phase of your business, apply for all the jobs you can â even if you think you donât stand a chance or it's outside your "ideal role." In this case, Alexis applied for a social media role and landed a copywriting client. 2. Donât just apply for the job and call it a day. Go the extra mile â connect with them and share relevant and useful information. 3. Then go a mile even further by âsliding into their DMsâ as a way to follow up with your application. Mention what you love about their page/brand and why youâre excited about the opportunity. 4. If youâre feeling extra, you can also give them some free copy pointers and tips on how they can immediately improve their marketing. This is a great way to stand out â it showcases your skills and expertise and adds massive value upfront. Just be careful not to spend too much time on it (remember, itâs free). 5. Add even more value during the discovery call. Pursue their socials/website/offers and jot down a few notes. Keep in mind your knowledge of what [a strong funnel]( should include and show them the gaps. {NAME} â I know finding clients can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack⦠But if you put in the work by applying for as many gigs as you can⦠And go the extra mile to learn a little about the brand youâre applying for⦠It can make all the difference. Try it out this week and lmk how it goes. Rooting for you,
