‘Yan ‘yung madalas kong nare-receive na email from you guys. Most of the time, they are replies from the copywriting lessons I shared previously. Hindi ko sure kung new subscribers ba sila or hindi pa nila nabasa ‘yung ibang emails when they replied. HAHA! Anyways, OK lang naman. I’m gonna answer it now. But contrary to what you’d probably expect, I’m not going to share a copywriting lesson. This is more like a pre-work before you venture into anything new. So yes, this applies to everyone. What is it? It’s having the right mindset. You see, pursuing or learning something new like copywriting needs more than just technical skills. You need to have a mindset that’s positive, growth-oriented, and ready to face challenges. Bakit? Copywriting is a lucrative skill, and because of this, parami na rin nang parami ang mga gustong maging copywriter. While there are still more businesses that need copywriters than there are people offering it as a service… We cannot ignore the fact that the competition is getting tougher. If you have a poor mindset, you won’t last on the battlefield. That’s why you have to have the right mindset to be able to thrive and survive as a copywriter. Gets? Nice. Now… Copywriting is not just about words on a page. As you probably already know… It’s about connecting with your audience, influencing their thoughts, and inspiring action. And your mindset will greatly impact how you approach copywriting itself. So now, if you’re really committed to starting your copywriting journey… Let me share with you a guide to help you be in the right mindset. Before you start doing this, you have to be really, really honest with yourself. That’s the only way you can break through anything that might be holding you back. Ready? Answer the following: - How do you feel about writing? Is it a boring task? Or is it one you’re excited to do even if you don’t get paid? - Why couldn't you pursue copywriting as soon as you heard about it? This could be about your current situation, but better if you can look deeper and write down your fears if you jumped into it at once. I want you to be as detailed as possible about this. Then, I want you to challenge your own beliefs. Look at them from another angle, ‘yung mas positive. If you overcome those fears, what would happen? - I want you to have clarity on why you want to become a copywriter? What do you really want to achieve when you pursue this path? Maybe, the more popular choice of words would be… What’s your biggest WHY in pursuing this craft? Take your time to answer each question. Treat it like a little self-discovery session. You can share your answers with me if you like… But since it’s something really personal, I understand if you won’t. ‘Yan lang muna for now. Hope that helps! :) Rooting for you, Mark Darwin Balaswit Sent to: {EMAIL} [Unsubscribe]( Top Dog Copywriter, Barangay Commonwealth, 1121 Quezon City, Philippines
