Hi {NAME}! I know paulit-ulit mo nang naririnig na copywriting and marketing are ever-evolving…

Hi {NAME}! I know paulit-ulit mo nang naririnig na copywriting and marketing are ever-evolving… But also for this reason, you have to be always willing to continue learning. Yesterday, we discussed one way to do it: Join copywriting communities Today, let’s talk about another way for you to keep up with the every-changing nature of copywriting. But I have to make it clear as well that the results from this is kind of a ‘hit or miss’ approach… Because the only way to be certain it works for copywriting and marketing is if the audience and/or the marketers themselves approve of it. What is it, you ask? It’s to… Stay ahead of the trends And by “trends”, I meant those that are likely to be the direction the industry is heading towards… But at the same time, they could also turn out to be “fads” that were overrated and hyped up, and had eventually died down after a while. It’s hard to tell whether it's a trend or a fad when we’re still in the beginning phase of witnessing it… That’s why if you want to become a good copywriter who’s ahead of the competition… You should be able to spot emerging trends… Or kung hindi mo pa kaya mag-spot ng trends, observe the copywriting communities you’re in. What are they talking about? What’s the general sentiment of the people about it? You can be a spectator who’s observing from a distance and seeing how things unfold. So that when it’s confirmed that it’s the next big thing to have in the industry, you can jump right in at once. Best and most recent example of this is ‘yung AI. I’m not sure how much you know about it pero if you’ve been into copywriting since late last year… Nasubaybayan mo rin siguro it. Marami nang copywriters ang openly gumagamit nito, And marami rin ang vocal about not using it despite the “advantages” that come with it. To be transparent with you, I don’t really use AI although I have tried playing with ChatGPT and other AI writing tools. Also, kahit naman may AI na to help you fast-track your writing… You still need to have a decent amount of copywriting knowledge para makuha mo ‘yung desired output mo… Which would still lead you to going back and mastering your copywriting fundamentals. In case you’re wondering, hindi rin ako well-versed sa mga AI prompt, and I’m not really one to rely on those. 😅 Maybe in the future, but not anytime soon. HAHA! For me, although I see that the industry is kinda heading towards using it… It’s still early to say if magiging staple or mandatory tool ba ang AI for copywriters to use in the future. Whether you’re into using it or not is no problem. Magiging problem lang naman ito if you become overly dependent on it and if you set aside mastering the working copywriting principles because you think AI will do everything for you. It doesn’t work that way, {NAME}. AI may be powerful, but at the end of the day, it’s still just a tool… And the quality of the output you’ll get will be dependent on the quality of the data you input. So imagine if hindi mo sineryosong aralin ‘yung basics ng copywriting and you headed straight to using AI, do you think you’d get high quality results? Worse, you wouldn’t even know how to distinguish the good from bad quality because you have no reference of what each one looks like. Gets ba? Again, I’m not against anyone using AI. If it works for you, then by all means, use it. Pero ang sa akin lang is for you to make sure you’re not skipping any steps especially if you’re after becoming a highly-skilled copywriter. Now, going back on the ways to be consistent at learning and mastering copywriting, make sure to… - Join copywriting communities - Stay ahead of the trends There’s a few more ways left to discuss. Hindi ko lang mailagay in one email kasi magiging sobrang haba na. 😅 Can you guess what those are? :) Rooting for you, Mark Darwin Balaswit Sent to: {EMAIL} [Unsubscribe]( Top Dog Copywriter, Barangay Commonwealth, 1121 Quezon City, Philippines
