Let’s dive into the most important updates we’ve seen this month. Google has replaced its structured data tool When you visit [Google’s old structured data testing tool landing page]( you will now be greeted with a page that redirects you to either Google’s rich results test tool or the Schema.org schema markup validator tool. The question becomes: Which tool should you use? - To test generic structured data, use the schema markup validator tool. - To test Google-supported structured data, use the rich results tool. Google released its rich results tool in 2017, and ultimately planned to remove the structured data tool altogether. At this time Google decided to move the structured data testing tool from Google’s property to Schema.org, who published its own tool that is now found on Google’s new landing page in 2021. TF-Ranking or TensorFlow is a machine learning platform that is described as "The first open-source deep-learning library for learning to rank (LTR) at scale." The recent improvements to TF-Ranking were crucial to the rollout of the anti-spam algorithms and core updates throughout June and July 2021. According to searchenginejournal.com, "the innovation of TF-Ranking is that it enables the comparison of the entire list of documents at a time, which is called multi-item scoring. This approach allows better ranking decisions."
