The question becomes: Which tool should you use? - To test generic structured data, use the schema markup validator tool. - To test Google-supported structured data, use the rich results tool. Google released its rich results tool in 2017, and ultimately planned to remove the structured data tool altogether. At this time Google decided to move the structured data testing tool from Google’s property to Schema.org, who published its own tool that is now found on Google’s new landing page in 2021.
