[Zimmerman For Congress logo]( {NAME}, LGBTQ+ rights are under attack. The Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade has opened the door for the reversal of other landmark decisions, such as protecting the right to contraception, same-sex marriage, and many more. In Clarence Thomas’ concurring opinion, he made it clear that he wouldn't stop at a woman's right to choose – marriage equality will be next to go. The Supreme Court is no longer an institution we can count on to protect our constitutional rights. Their goal is to roll back and restrict the rights we all fought so hard for. Across the country, Republican lawmakers are already falling in line. Senator Ted Cruz recently stated that the court was "overreaching" when it legalized same-sex marriage. We cannot stand by while LGBTQ+ families continue to come under attack. We must do everything we can to protect them before it's too late. The House just did its part by passing the Respect for Marriage Act, which would codify federal protections for same-sex couples – now we need the Senate to urgently move on this critical legislation. [Sign on to our petition now and demand the Senate pass the Respect for Marriage Act now.]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( Extremist Republicans are working to dismantle our fundamental rights, and it's up to our leaders to fight back harder and with a real sense of urgency. As a gay man myself, I know all too well the discrimination our LGBTQ+ communities will be subjected to, and the feelings of isolation and lack of acceptance we will face when those in power tell us that we don’t have equal rights under the law. The GOP's continued efforts to erase our progress threaten to take our whole country backwards if we don’t stand up and fight back. [Let's stand together and demand the Senate codify same-sex marriage.
