[Zimmerman For Congress logo]( {NAME} – We've all experienced, or know people, who have been marginalized, isolated, unseen. I certainly do. Growing up as a closeted gay kid in the suburbs, I spent many days feeling isolated and alone, and like my voice didn't matter. And right now, extremist lawmakers are dead set on ensuring that kids who feel like I did won't have a voice either. Across the country, Republican lawmakers are advancing and introducing bigoted legislation that targets the LGBTQ+ community. From Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's horrifying directive demanding that parents who support their children by helping them seek gender-affirming care be investigated for child abuse, to Florida's 'Don't Say Gay' bill – currently making its way through the state legislature – that bars educators from speaking about any LGBTQ+ topics that are defined as not "age-appropriate". [We must do everything in our power to put a stop to this blatant bigotry and ensure every LGBTQ+ member of our community can thrive. Will you pitch in $5, $10, $15, or anything you can, right now, to support our campaign and help us fight for the rights our community deserves?]( [DONATE]( These attacks on the rights and dignity of members of our community by far-right extremists will keep coming, friend. But I implore you not to feel discouraged. Because I can speak from experience that in the face of these prejudiced views, discriminatory bills, and hateful acts – we will stand together and fight back. [Hate and bigotry have no place in NY-03, and as your representative, I will fight every single day to put a stop to the blatant discrimination, from FL and TX to right here in our own backyard, so that our rights and the rights of our children are always protected. Will you pitch in $5 to help us fight back?]( Thank you for fighting with me, Robert Zimmerman [DONATE]( PAID FOR BY ZIMMERMAN FOR CONGRESS Zimmerman for Congress PO Box 220363 Great Neck, New York 11022 This email was sent to: {EMAIL}.
