Also: We interviewed breakfast and something happened. [View Web Version]( [Zikoko Daily] 5th November, 2021 Hi there. It’s Itohan again. This is my last time writing the daily newsletter this year because Ifoghale is returning from leave soon. Let’s celebrate that! Honestly, it’s Friday, and I just want to relax on a beach with a cocktail. But before that, let me bring you the inside gist of this week’s Abroad Life interview. Itohan Editor The Inside Gist --------------------------------------------------------------- Hey David. You promised us a Brazil and Nigeria interview this week. What changed? And why Ghana? Funnily, this is the same story, but the subject wasn't comfortable talking about her life in Brazil. I reached out to her because I saw her complain online about xenophobia in Ghana So when she mentioned Brazil in the interview, I tried to further the conversation but she was like “Nah, this isn't why you reached out to me.” Lmao. I was in Ghana in 2016, but I was still really young. Have you ever been? Let's deflect from the fact that I've never been outside Nigeria and laugh at you being really young in 2016! LMAO. Some of us were already having back pain and paying school fees. Sorry oh. Abroad life but your life isn't abroad. Will this story make you cross Ghana off of your list of countries to travel to? If you want me to travel abroad, send me flight money, please. I'm ready to start my travel blogger career. Lmao. It feels like Nigerians face xenophobia in a lot of African countries. Why do you think that is? Maybe it’s because we have coconut heads and like looking for trouble wherever we go. Or maybe humans are just generally not tolerable of new people in their space and because Nigerians are always emigrating, the probability that we'd be on the receiving end of xenophobia is higher. Makes sense. I’ll keep looking for more answers. What’s your favourite part of the story? I like how she was able to just decide to move to another country based on a family member's recommendation. I'm like, “God when?” What's something about the subject that didn't make it into the article? She’s currently doing her masters. I found that pretty interesting. As someone who ate breakfast a few weeks ago, it’s nice that Kunle had a chance to stop the busy breakfast and interview him. [Read the interview]( --------------------------------------------------------------- Quit anything that stresses you According to Ibukun, it’s okay to quit anything that causes you pain. Please, can you help me ask her how to quit Nigeria? Because Nigeria is breaking my heart, and this country always finds new ways to stress me. You should check this article out to find out if she’s given you permission to quit any of these things. [Get the gist]( Quiz What Is Your Soulmate’s Zodiac Sign?
