I’ve heard people talk about NYSC as that period where your life somehow finally comes together. Was that your experience? For me, I think it both fell apart and came together. On one hand it showed me that Nigeria is messed up, and this resulted in [cynicism]( or [nihilism](. On the other hand, it might have finalised my resolve to japa. What did you spend the year doing? Lmfaoooo. I worked at a general hospital. It was simultaneously the most rewarding and frustrating year of my life. Not as bad as today’s subject, I’m sure. How come she didn’t throw herself into her “passion”, since she has a ton of free time? I think her mental health is down. Because of that, her passion and hobbies no longer matter. Her biggest struggle at this point is finishing the programme. I'm rooting for her though. What did you find interesting about her story?
