[Zenefits]() Hi {NAME}, The DOL adjusts its civil penalty amounts for inflation each year. Employers must be aware and comply with a variety of issues such as: - The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA); - The Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA); - The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); and - The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act). This year, the DOL has increased penalties in many areas this year, such as: - An increase in maximum penalty for violations of federal minimum wage or overtime requirements from $2,050 to $2,074 per violation. - An increase in maximum penalty for failing to file a Form 5500 for an employee benefit plan from $2,233 to $2,259 per day. - An increase in maximum penalty for violations of the poster requirement under the FMLA from $176 to $178 per offense. Can we help get your HR systems integrated and to help you stay in compliance? Let me know with a quick reply to this email, and we can set up a call to discuss.
