Exploring your DNA around the world I have proof of it too {NAME}. My Dad roared with laughter when I told him I had neanderthal genes. "It must be your mother's line," he joked. Possibly. But it also could be neither. One thing I've learned is your dNA can be different to your parents. Your dNA picks up bits of what it needs to evolve from different places. It's fascinating. Wherever I got it from, it's a sign that I've got strong genes, right? Survivor ones. I mean Neanderthal was a long time ago. I also have French, German and Scandanvian DNA. With my blond hair, and blue eyes, and people constantly speaking to me in Danish or Swedish, mistakingly identifying me, I figured the Viking blood was somewhere in my genes. And there was no shock that most of my DNA is British and Irish. I enjoyed the process of discovering my DNA far more than I realised. It has inspired me to travel more and explore these regions that were a suprise., yet make  up who I am. The story of my DNA quest to evolve and thrive. I loved this comment from Mark on my post today about DNA and travel, " I think if we all did it we would eliminate racism as we will see that we all have ancestors all over the world" I couldn't agree more. It's that common connection that brings about understanding and tolerance. It's one reason I love to travel so much and how it turned me into a more compassionate and accepting person. Discovering your DNA is a much simpler and easier way to connect more deeply with others who seem foreign to us.  I share more about [this emerging travel trend in my post](. It's in sponsorship with 23andMe who are also hosting an incredible sweepstakes. The 23andMe’s Golden23SM Sweepstakes. They're choosing 23 winners who will receive a trip package that allows them to explore the world based upon their DNA. The trip is worth $20,000. Pretty cool right? Imagine the stories you can discover and tell about your DNA- your unique ancestry blueprint. Your steps 1. [You can read more about it in my post.]( 2. [You can also go straight to the sweepstakes page to enter here. ]( 3.  Let me know your results or your thoughts in the comments on the post. Sadly, the sweepstakes is only open to US residents, but discovering your DNA is not!
